Skybound Seeks Crowdfunding Support For The Coming AAA Invincible Game

The chance of investing in a non-indie, AAA game with popular IP is rare.

Skybound Games, the video game division of Skybound Entertainment, is turning to its dedicated fanbase to help fund the development of an AAA game based on its global hit intellectual property (IP), Invincible. 

The studio has already raised $18 million from fans and everyday investors through Republic/Seedrs. They are now seeking to raise additional funds through crowdfunding to support the development of the Invincible game.

Skybound Games, co-founded by Robert Kirkman, the creator of the popular comic book series The Walking Dead, is known for its successful ventures across multiple platforms, including console, PC, and mobile. Some of their notable works include games such as Death's Gambit, Skullgirls, and the final two episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

Regarding the coming AAA game based on the Invincible IP, the description on the crowdfunding page says:

"Skybound is developing a highly produced, high-octane blood bath that is anything but indie. Our bona fide global hit IP, Invincible, is at the center, and we've hand-picked our own team, consisting of more than 30 gaming industry veterans to make it happen.  "

"You’ve never seen a game like this from Skybound before."
