Listen carefully.
Reddit user LaggyMcStab has presented an interesting idea - a game where you act like a hunting cat hiding in the grasses trying to catch birds without being able to see them.
Then you might wonder how you can decide where the prey is. As the title of the project, Listen, suggests, you can decide by the sound of chirps. This mini Unity project immediately piqued my interest, so I downloaded it to give it a try without putting on headphones, though it's suggested to wear them. It took me dozens of fails before catching a bird, allowing the proud white cat to lick its paw. With a triumph, it shared with me an interesting fact about cats:

Not only does the volume matter, but also its direction. It's truly discouraging when you believe the bird is meters away, yet it shows up just where you were as soon as you jump. This has been explained by the developer that the bird's model only shows up the moment the cat pounces.
Things could be very different if you have put on the headphones. A player said, "you'll be able to hear, in stereo, the direction of the bird, and the volume falloff will tell you the distance."
Some players have tried it and suggested adding some visual hints, like slight sways of grasses, to indicate the position, an opinion that some thought would betray the original unique concept of the game. With the feedback, the developer considers "adding more indication of the distance of the bird, such as if it's near a tree you hear a branch break or a rock you hear a pebble fall if you listen long enough." So, it will still stick with the core gameplay of judging a position by sound.

The game is simple and takes only 61M of storage, so feel free to give it a try by accessing it on Itch.io. It gives you some funny surprise - a bird could "fart" an egg when flying away.
