Renaud Galand provided some behind-the-scenes information about the new tank hero from the Overwatch universe.
Lead Artist at Theorycraft Games Renaud Galand, known to many as an ex-Lead Character Artist behind Blizzard's Overwatch franchise, has recently provided a closer look at Junker Queen, a tank hero from the recently-released Overwatch 2.
According to a new ArtStation post shared by Galand, Junker Queen was the last character the artist worked on before leaving Blizzard. The artist was in charge of creating the hero and her Lore Legendary skin and provided the high poly sculpt and initial textures, made using ZBrush, Maya, Marmoset Toolbag, and Mudbox, for Junker Queen's cinematic version. Galand also commented that he was responsible for modeling and texturing the character, with Arnold Tsang being the Concept Artist behind her, Hak Lee being in charge of Tech Art, and "The talented Overwatch Team" providing sound, VFX, and animations.
