Artist Demonstrates ROG Ally Handheld Is Good Not Only for Gaming but Also for 3D

30 million polys and counting.

ASUS ROG Ally is known as a gaming handheld, a Steam Deck alternative in a way. However, that's not all it's useful for.

An artist known as Gaz Minis connected the console to their Huion Kamvas 13 Gen 3 tablet to work in ZBrush, and it runs surprisingly well on a 30-million-poly sculpt. Apparently, ROG Ally lasts for 2 to 3 hours in the low power mode, so you might consider it for your 3D work as well.

If you want to see what else Gaz Minis can do, with ROG Ally or without, check out their X/Twitter account.

ROG ally was announced on April 1, 2023, and at first, many thought it was an April Fools joke, but it proved to be real and quite popular. Last year, Valve revealed that the console would support SteamOS as part of its plan to incorporate the OS in other devices, including Lenovo's Legion Go S, which is the first officially licensed third-party device with the system.
