Instead of the standard Mage, Warrior, or Rogue, you can choose to be a Cryoknight, Hammermage, or Guardian.
After a decade of development, Andrew Gower, the celebrated game designer who brought us RuneScape, has announced his latest project: Brighter Shores, which is set to release later this year.

Brighter Shores is a free-to-play point-and-click RPG that diverges from traditional MMO gameplay. Instead, it emphasizes exploration, discovery, and a wide array of professions, inviting players to immerse in a magical and mysterious world.

The game is set in the enchanting land of Adothria, and you will start from playing the role of a town guard in the peaceful coastal town of Hopeport. As the narrative unravels, you will find yourself thrust into a larger role, tasked with protecting not just the town, but the entire world.
Player classes in Brighter Shores are different than the usual MMO games. Instead of the standard Mage, Warrior, or Rogue, you can choose to be a Cryoknight, Hammermage, or Guardian.

While Brighter Shores is free-to-play, a Premium Pass option will also be available at launch. The developers assure there's plenty of content for free players, but the Premium Pass unlocks additional stories, professions, and places to explore.

Free players will have access to the first two zones, Hopeport and Hopeforest. The Premium Pass, however, is required to access the Mine of Mantuban and Crenopolis. Other Premium benefits include a unique character name, exclusive armor dyes, the ability to change your name, and player-to-player trading options.
