IO Interactive Opens a New Office in Istanbul

IOI says its new office will have a crucial involvement in the development of both Project 007 and Project Fantasy.

IO Interactive, the developer best known for its Hitman franchise that is currently working on a new James Bond game and an online fantasy RPG, announced it has opened a new studio in Istanbul, Turkey.

The company unveiled the new studio via its website emphasizing its significance in IO Interactive's "continued growth and success."

"With a thriving tech and mobile development scene, we identified Istanbul as a region filled with talent that is furiously passionate, development-focused and technically creative," the developer's announcement reads. "Those elements made opening a studio in Istanbul a strong step forward for IOI’s pursuit of making impactful games on all platforms and for everyone."

IOI noted that with its new Istanbul location, it aims to create a hub for AAA game development in the region. According to the company, the Istanbul team will be instrumental in the development of all of its projects, including Project 007, Project Fantasy, and Hitman.
