Delicious Ghibli-Style 3D Food Created With Blender

Not that long ago, 3D Artist Rabia Türkoğlu, who specializes primarily in stylized 3D dioramas, took on a seven-day anime-style food challenge, setting up multiple mouth-watering edibles with Studio Ghibli-like appearance. Created with Blender and its Grease Pencil tool, Rabia's menu includes over a dozen stunning NPR dishes, ranging from a simple egg toast to more complex tteokbokki and kimchi stew. In case you're unfamiliar, Grease Pencil is a specific type of Blender object designed to receive drawing input from a mouse or pressure-sensitive stylus and position it in 3D space as a series of points forming a stroke, enabling drawing directly within the 3D environment.

It can be used to make traditional 2D animation, cut-out animation, motion graphics, or as a storyboard tool, among other things.

Strokes are created in Draw Mode, which requires adding a new keyframe in the animation timeline for the Grease Pencil object. Existing strokes can then be adjusted in Edit Mode and Sculpt Mode.
