Easily Fit Clothing to 3D Models with This Design Tool

You can print the pieces made with Tomoyuki Ito's 桃CAD right on fabric.

If you're tired of Marvelous Designer, take a look at 桃CAD, a dressmaking tool by Tomoyuki Ito that allows you to fit 2D clothing on a 3D model to see if it looks right. You can even print the pieces on fabric and sew them together so the resulting outfit fits perfectly.

To make sure your clothes will sit right, you can 3D-scan your body and upload it to the app. Then, adjust the details however you like, and the dress is ready. All modifications are reflected in 3D, which makes it a very useful tool.

From what I've seen, 桃CAD is still in development and works with dresses, although I think you can potentially use it for other clothes as well.

The software can be used for free for practice but if you want access to its printing abilities, you'll have to purchase a ticket for 1,200 yen (about $8) per year.

The tool works on Windows and Mac. Download it from here and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on InstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
