Metacritic has presented its game publisher rankings based on 2022 releases. The list is crowned by Sony with a total of 338.4 points comprised of the Metascore and the number of good, great, and bad games, according to reviews.
The result isn't surprising as Sony published many successful games last year, including God of War Ragnarök, The Last of Us Part I, Horizon Forbidden West, and Gran Turismo, as well as God of War and Spider-Man for PC.
Sony is followed by Paradox Interactive and Activision Blizzard with 322.7 and 304.8 points, respectively.
Notably, Microsoft did not make the cut as only publishers with five and more distinct titles released in 2022 could compete.

- Sony Interactive Entertainment – 85.6
- Paradox Interactive – 81.6
- Activision Blizzard – 76.5
- Focus Entertainment – 80
- Take-Two – 78.9
- Capcom – 78.6

- Humble Games – 76.8
- Devolver Digital – 78.3
