New Deep Learning Pose Prediction Tool in Cascadeur

Nekki shared the second teaser of Cascadeur which showcases the new deep learning-based tool.

The new 80-second video shows the first tests of their unique “Deep Learning Pose Prediction Tool”. Basically, the video gives a glimpse at the possibilities deep-learning tools can provide when dealing with the animation editing process. Nekki plans to use deep learning algorithms for many other aspects of the character animation workflow in Cascadeur.

Don’t forget to read our interview with one of the developers:

Evgeniy Dyabin, a founder of a physics-based animation tool Cascadeur, talked about the way it works and upgrades the animation pipeline in game production.

“Our pose prediction tool is still in early alpha stage, and so far it only works with the standard character rig (included in the Cascadeur beta version),” noted the team. “Nevertheless, we have decided to make it available to all our beta testers for experimentation purposes already.”

Please note that registered Cascadeur beta testers will automatically receive the updated beta version including the alpha pose prediction in the next few days. If you want to register for Cascadeur’s closed beta, do so at cascadeur.com.

The team also invited all attendees of SIGGRAPH to visit their Cascadeur presentation on July 28, 2pm – 3:30 pm at the Experience Presentation Theater, South Hall J.
