While Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is steading moving toward its release, it has been revealed that Ninja Theory's co-founder Tameem Antoniades is no longer working there.

Polygon recently visited the studio and noticed his absence, and it was later confirmed that he had left. Antoniades worked on Hellblade 2 in the early stages, "but the game now has a trio of creative leads: environment art director Dan Attwell, visual effects director Mark Slater-Tunstill, and audio director David Garcia."

It's not clear why or even when Antoniades left. Trying to get an idea, I uncovered a whole conspiracy theory with people saying he's been out of the company for years. Others pointed out that he said, "We dropped a new trailer for Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 at The Game Awards 23" in December, so he must have been there then. In short, it's all speculation at this point, so believe what you want – Antoniades hasn't released any official statements yet.

Ninja Theory, known for Hellblade, DmC: Devil May Cry, and Heavenly Sword, was acquired by Microsoft in 2018. Its next title, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, will be out for PC and Xbox Series X/S on May 21.
