Uncanny 3D Artwork With Hand-Drawn Looks Made in Blender

Pratik Solanki utilized sketch shaders to bring the project to life.

Take a look at this unsettling 3D animation created by Pratik Solanki, a 3D Blender Artist and Co-Founder of Weybec Animation Studio, known online as Dragoneex.

Featuring five somewhat realistic eyes reminiscent of Junji Ito's horror manga, the animation was crafted using Blender, a free and open-source 3D software for modeling, texturing, rendering, VFX, and animation. The artwork's highlight, its hand-drawn-like appearance, was achieved through the use of sketch shaders from Dragoneex's Stylized Shaders add-on.

For those unaware, Stylized Shaders is a powerful tool designed specifically for 2D look development. At the moment, it offers a collection of 55+ incredible shaders for creating outlines, setting up visual effects, and giving 3D models a cartoony look. This add-on is compatible with Blender 3.6 LTS Eevee.

Previously, the creator also presented a Blender-powered stylized outline shader that enables one to add neat Spider-Verse-style non-photorealistic outlines to their 3D models:
