Unreal-Powered Dark Fantasy Game Where You Play as a Cute Fox

Kiln Studios, a small UK-based indie development studio led by Game Developer Rob Potter, has shared an official gameplay trailer for This Dead Winter, the team's upcoming dark fantasy adventure game with gorgeous visuals where you play as an adorable fluffy fox on a quest to find your cub.

Powered by Unreal Engine, the game is set in a picturesque ancient valley enveloped by dense forests, snowy terrains, and the forgotten remains of a once-thriving civilization, which you'll need to explore in order to find your lost child.

Along the way, you'll encounter a variety of lingering spirits – some friendly, others less so – frozen robots, whom you'll be able to revitalize, and an assortment of puzzles that you'll need to solve to continue your journey.

Even though you play as a simple fox, your abilities are not limited to basic actions like running, jumping, and swimming. Exploring the concealed nooks and secrets of the game rewards you with additional capabilities, including Dash, the power to possess soulless machines, and the ability to see the world through a fox's heightened senses. "Every bit of aid will be necessary for your survival as you venture deeper into the valley," commented the creator.
